The Umpqua Kennel Club, Inc. is a non-profit organization and member club of the American Kennel Club (AKC), devoted to the advancement of purebred dogs. The AKC is a "club of clubs," comprised of over 500 member clubs and almost 5000 affiliated clubs.

Conduct sanctioned matches, licensed all-breed dog shows and obedience/rally trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club.

Attract members experienced in every aspect of AKC activities, conformation, agility, rally obedience, tracking and hunt testing.

Host AKC sanctioned dog shows.

Host Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluations for all dogs, including unregistered and mixed-breeds. CGC is a title awarded by the AKC (American Kennel Club) to dogs who pass the CGC test - a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership and basic good dog manners.
